Englewood, NJ (PRWEB) August 23, 2012
Graduate Programs is excited to announce a scholarship program to help students with the cost of tuition or loan repayment.
The website http://www.graduateprograms.com provides a space for students to learn about a wide spectrum of graduate programs while also allowing students to provide each other with their experiences in graduate school.
Students who use the Rate and Review function of http://www.graduateprograms.com to share their thoughts about their graduate program will be entered to win a $1,000 scholarship award toward their graduate school tuition or student loans. Graduate Programs Foundation will choose a student commenter at random to win the scholarship. These $1,000 scholarships will be awarded once every three months (four times per year). Understanding that recent graduates have much to contribute to the conversation, we’re also allowing those who graduated in the last five years to participate.
“Tuition costs are rising and students need all the help they can get. In conjunction with the Graduate Programs Foundation, a non-profit organization, we are proud to be able to offer students the chance at some financial assistance,” said Harvey Berkey, chief operating officer of Graduate Programs.
To qualify, students must be a current or former student at one of the graduate schools listed on http://www.graduateprograms.com. The student must also be in good academic standing, meaning the student is passing all classes and has committed no crimes while enrolled in graduate school. Students on academic or disciplinary probation may not apply. Recent graduates within the last five years may also participate in the Rate and Review portion of the website and be entered to win the $1,000 scholarship. Again, the recent graduate must have finished their graduate studies in good academic and disciplinary standing to qualify. Students who apply must also be United States citizens or international students with valid passports.
It’s easy to apply for a Graduate Programs Foundation Scholarship. Students just need to click on the “scholarship” link or box on the home page. Then, the student will be asked to enter his or her information and agree to the terms and conditions of the website.
Using the simple ten star system, the student will rate his or her graduate program and leave a comment to help other prospective students. From there, Graduate Programs will compile and post ratings and comments. A random winner will be chosen from those who completed a Rate and Review and comment to win the $1,000 Graduate Programs Foundation Scholarship. Graduate Programs Foundation will notify the winner within 30 days of the end of that semester.
