“Traveling America” are sure to challenge readers

In his new book of trivia and activities, “Traveling America: A Book of Fun and Games and Things to Learn for the Whole Family!” (published by AuthorHouse), author Eugene D. Redman shares a bit of the pride he feels as an American with young readers, engaging them with fun challenges while teaching them a little along the way.

“Traveling America” is a book of songs, games, puzzles, pictures to color, and trivia about past presidents and general information about the United States – United States and capitals, presidents of America and United States war veterans. A format familiar to anyone who has ever used an activity book, Redman’s book allows readers to actively participate in the book, completing word games, crossword puzzles and unique mazes.

Redman is a proud, patriotic American, and he hopes his book helps young people develop a similar pride in their nation. In fact, he says he was simply inspired to write “Traveling America” while “…thinking about past history of America and what a great country we live in.”

The activities in “Traveling America” are sure to challenge readers. Redman is no stranger to challenges, coming from a long line of U. S. Marines and being a Marine himself. But the payoff for this particular challenge is that young people learn a bit about American history and pride.

“I would like to dedicate this book to my son Michael E. Redman who passed away of a heart attack in October of 2011,” says Redman. “Michael and his wife, Valli, did a lot of work and research to make this book become a reality.”
