The Meter-Logger 100 is an interface device that adds enormous power to any utility meter. Using the pulse output from your utility meters this device logs the readings and provides a ready TCP-IP interface that can be ready from any software, either on-site or many miles away.
"Where a customer has multiple meters from different manufacturers installed throughout their organisation, the Meter-Logger 100 allows a uniform interface" said Seggy Segaran, Technical Director. "It can interface to the pulse output from upto three utility meters and log a whole years worth of data to its flash memory."
Energy consumption data can be downloaded in either .csv or .xml format. This can then be processed and presented in the format required by the customer.
"We also tried very hard to make it easy for the customer to set the Time and Date. This is set at production and the battery backed real time clock makes sure that when the customer starts to log pulses the time and date is already set and they don't have to do anything at all. Once the unit is connected to a network it uses SNTP updates to maintain the accuracy of the clock."
"The same is true of the Network connection for the Meter Logger" added Ryan Diver, the engineer responsible for the concept and design of the product. " The IP adress can be assigned by the DHCP server or set by the user, making the unit very flexible. We have also made available a Logger Find software so that the any Meter Logger on the network can be found easily."
