We’re not advising that you go from the dentist’s chair to the pub but drinking beer is okay.
LIVERPOOL (PRWEB UK) 24 August 2012
Ollie & Darsh, a cosmetic and general dentist in Liverpool, has found that the social life of patients is a big concern for their Invisalign® invisible braces patients.
As part of their on-going dedication to customer service, Ollie & Darsh investigated what their website’s users are asking via analysis of their search engine traffic.
And to their surprise, dental practice found that the most common question asked about Invisalign® aligners weren’t about how much they cost or whether they hurt – but whether you can drink beer whilst wearing them!
Suzy Gorman, at Ollie & Darsh said:
“All too often, patients are too scared or embarrassed to ask questions at the risk of sounding silly but to us, there is no such thing as a stupid question. We want to ensure that patients can come to us with any concerns to guarantee they receive appropriate advice and effective treatment.
“It looks as though there are concerns about what you can and can’t do whilst wearing Invisalign® aligners, but it’s reassuring people are checking online first. It’s normal that patients just want to continue with their normal lifestyle but don’t want to call up a dentist to disturb them. So, we’d like to answer these top questions to make sure Liverpool smiles remain the best.”
For the record, here are the top three questions asked with answers from Ollie & Darsh:
Can I drink beer with Invisalign®?
“We’re not advising that you go from the dentist’s chair to the pub but drinking beer is okay. The concern here is that the beer could stain the retainer, defeating its invisible appearance. Brush your teeth and retainer shortly after drinking and you should be okay. We of course recommend that all our patients drink responsibly!”
Can I swim with Invisalign®?
“Yes. They are made to measure and will not come out. This also applies for showering but we advise they are removed before bathing.”
Which celebrities have used Invisalign®?
“We imagine there are plenty of celebrities who have but Giselle has confirmed in the past that they have helped her with a prominent tooth. And, thanks to a close-up, we’ve even spotted Justin Bieber wearing them – that’s how invisible they are!”
Invisalign® is a treatment for straighter teeth through the use of clear and removable aligners. They are particularly popular thanks to their invisible nature and their flexibility for differing lifestyles.
