Sound Blankets Quiet University at Albany Water Tower Renovation Project

Sound Seal, a leading manufacturer of commercial and industrial noise control products announced today that the University at Albany (SUNY) Campus is using Sound Seal’s sound blankets to quiet the sand blasting and ongoing renovation at the University’s Water Tower and Fountain area while classes are in session.

The University at Albany is a world recognized research university which has more than 16,000 students in nine schools and colleges. The University offers 50 undergraduate majors and 128 graduate degree programs. In addition to offering many cultural benefits, including a museum of art and a writers institute, The University at Albany has a major impact on the economic climate of the Albany Capital District and surrounding areas in New York State.

The 248-foot tall water tower and main fountain area are an integral part of the overall architectural elements of the SUNY Campus. The renovation project will completely refurbish the area around the water tower as well as two fountains, which encompass an area of over one acre.
