The Department of International Trade Promotion (DITP) is preparing Thailand into a logistics hub with its plans to open a symposium entitled ASEAN Trade Logistics Connectivity in TILOG 2012 aimed at bringing entrepreneurs together and creating a cooperative guideline of international logistics.
Mrs. Nuntawan Sakuntanaga, Director General of the Department of International Trade Promotion (DITP), said Thailand’s important business partners are confident in the country’s potential to be the region’s logistics hub. All ASEAN countries as well as China, Japan, India, South Korea and Hong Kong are expanding their businesses and setting up trading bases and distribution centers in Thailand. The 9th Thailand International Logistics Fair 2012 (TILOG 2012) will be held from September 19 - 22 at Bangkok International Trade & Exhibition Centre (BITEC).
The DITP will enhance regional cooperative networks in line with the ASEAN Free Trade Area by organizing the symposium ASEAN Trade Logistics Connectivity during TILOG 2012 on September 20. Public and private organizations as well as leading logistics service providers in ASEAN countries and throughout Asia will be invited to join the symposium to mark the beginning of strong and competitive business network promotion.
“When it comes to overseas trading, not only quality products, but also new technology, convenient, one-stop logistics system able to fully satisfy customers demands. This will increase competitiveness and business opportunities in target markets,” said Mrs. Nuntawan.
