Tel-Tron Technologies Corporation has announced that the company is offering a significant grant to a deserving low income, not-for-profit senior living community.

Emergency call systems are a critical part of the day-to-day operations for any senior living community. It’s how seniors feel safe and independent. It’s how caregivers know their residents in need are just a button press away. It’s how families know their loved one always has someone available to help at a moment’s notice. Every resident, every caregiver, every loved one should have that sense of security and independence.

Tel-Tron recognizes that every community can’t afford the latest emergency call technology. This year, through its philanthropy arm, The Tel-Tron Foundation, Tel-Tron is awarding an extraordinary grant to one outstanding low-income, not-for-profit senior housing community in need. The recipient community will be provided a brand-new emergency call system, including consultation, components, installation, and real-time management reporting.

Applications are now being accepted from community employees, neighboring communities, residents, family members, community residential boards, and anyone else who knows of a deserving community. To qualify, the community must be a United States 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization or a tribe/tribally designated housing entity with a stated mission of providing housing to low-income seniors.

The grant will be awarded to a selected community in need that demonstrates the importance of bringing housing and services together in a safe and caring environment to meet the needs of lower-income elderly. Applications that illustrate how the business will improve and resident lifestyle will be enhanced with the award of this system, and includes specifics or stories about the community, will receive additional consideration.

Grant applications must be received by 5pm ET on October 31, 2012. For more information, visit http://www.tel-tron.com/about/foundation.
