Betty White and her friends at The Lifeline Program are adopting a sifaka at the Los Angeles Zoo and Botanical Grardens in honor of Regis Philbin, who turns 81 this Saturday, August 25. Regis wrote to Betty, “I was so flattered you wished me a happy birthday and named me after this fine looking sifaka. He personifies Regis. He is Regis. And Regis is very happy to have him.”

Betty White said, “This adoption is a natural because both Regis and the sifaka personify grace and charm.”

The Greater Los Angeles Zoo Association’s “Adopt an Animal Program” enables anyone to assist one of the zoo’s terrific residents.
