The international law firm Greenberg Traurig, LLP announced that John D. Freshman has joined its Washington, D.C. office as a senior director in the firm’s national Governmental Affairs Practice. Prior to joining Greenberg Traurig, Freshman was a Principal at Troutman Sanders Strategies.
“John has over three decades of public policymaking and political experience - he is a truly distinguished leader and we’re extremely pleased to have him join our team,” stated Thomas J. Freshman has more than 30 years of experience in a wide range of industries, including environmental, infrastructure, natural resources and public policy. He has managed environmental, water and natural resources issues involving product safety, energy and health issues with foreign countries, as well as tax issues relating to supplemental children’s health insurance programs, alternative minimum tax and energy tax credits, among others.
