At the end of the month the city of Berlin is going to be really hopping with eyes turned towards the release of the Galaxy Note II.

It is expected that Samsung's Proprietary Exynos 5 SoC chipset with a dual core (some report quad core) 1.7 GHz CPU tied to a Mali T604 GPU. Storage is reportedly either 16 or 32 gigs and one half gigs of RAM. Of course there's also the microSD slot for additional storage. It is widely expected to have a 5.5 inch Super AMOLED and expected to come in with 285's pixels per inch, and a resolution of 800 x 1280.

Those who have not seen Samsung's AMOLED displays before are in for a treat. It is the one kind of screen to have when dealing with sunlight. Google has had a little time now to work on Android and version 4.1 (Jelly Bean) and is generally considered to go head-to-head with iOS. It will be interesting to see what Samsung does with its TouchWIZ interface.

An area Samsung certainly needed to match up was the camera area. Some say it will contain an eight to 13 megapixel camera with LED flash and a front facing two megapixel camera. Geo-tagging, face and smile detection, image stabilization and touch focus round out the ability to do 30 frames per second of 1080 P video.

It’s wildly expected to be quad band in both 2G and 3G networks, and LTE in the 4G. The 802.11 gets b/g/n. It is also rumored to have 802.11a. Bluetooth moves into the super low-power version 4 with Enhanced Data Rate (EDR) and A2DP. Rounding out of course is the Near Field Communications (NFC).

While some have come to expect to an Accelerometer, Gyro, proximity and compass the addition of a barometer could make for some interesting software development.
