“The Good, the Bad and the Ugly” of Internet Marketing Wins!

Foster Web Marketing wins first place in a recent video contest created by SEOmoz. The winning video runs through the good, the bad and the ugly of Web content marketing.

SEOmoz laid down the gauntlet and Foster Web Marketing accepted the challenge, kicked in the door and won! After countless video submissions from Internet marketing companies and SEO professionals across the nation, Foster Web Marketing has grabbed first place for its innovative and educational video. The infamous video depicts a scene from the Clint Eastwood spaghetti western "The Good, the Bad and the Ugly" and creatively relates it to the Internet marketing world.

Just a few short weeks ago, SEOmoz, a leader in the SEO industry, challenged its community to submit videos to its contest entitled, “One Tool or Tactic, Two Minutes.” The winning videos were to be showcased on SEOmoz’s newly launched YouTube channel.

In the contest, members had the opportunity to explain their favorite Web marketing techniques in various categories, including content marketing, link building, social media, and more. Contestants were urged to “tell the SEOmoz community why this one thing is awesome and how to use it to get real marketing results.”

Winners were picked based on the information provided, the level of entertainment and how actionable the tactics are for viewers. The content marketing and social media categories received several video submissions, but Foster Web Marketing won the content marketing category with its cutting-edge and witty video.

In the highly entertaining and informative video co-produced by Fairfax Video Studio, FWM’s sister company, the “good” Internet marketer gives such tips as:

  •     Adding good, relevant and interesting content is the key.
  •     Video content that answers the question converts traffic.
  •     If you don’t have time to write, hire someone who knows what he or she is doing.
  •     Educate and keep the user experience enjoyable.
