On September 6th from 12 noon to 4pm, award nominees and attendees are invited to The Ritz-Carlton Residences at L.A. LIVE for an exclusive afternoon filled with luxury and music by DJ Casey Connor and Nate Novarro of dance-punk band Cobra Starship. Following the award show (7pm to 11pm), the festivities will continue with a private invitation-only Afterparty featuring a special live performance by Karmin with Demetrius and Ian Desdune on the turntables. The events will be filled with fun and entertaining activities that celebrity guests will be able to experience, including playing the soon-to-be-released on Kinect™ for Xbox 360® NBA Baller Beats, the first-ever video game that enables users to perform like a pro using a real basketball. Additionally, Velodyne Acoustics will transform one of the rooms in the luxurious Ritz-Carlton Residences to present their most innovative products on the market, which range from headphones to subwoofers.
The Daytime Lounge will benefit VH1 Save The Music Foundation which helps public elementary and middle schools across the country restore their instrumental music programs to ensure that all children have access to a complete education. The NBA Baller Beats for Xbox 360® VMA Lounge and After Party would not be possible without the generous support of its sponsors which, in addition to the companies named above, include: Coca-Cola, Junk Food Clothing, Le Posh Salon, Niche, Refine Mixers, Voli Vodka and OneHope Wine. VH1 Save The Music Foundation will receive a portion of the proceeds from the event.
