LOUISBURG, N.C. – (August 27, 2012) – Author Dr. Mark Stanley offers readers a great opportunity to read, learn, and enjoy the word of God with ease as he combines the four gospels into one mega gospel in “A Pocket Full of Parables.” Through this book, they can witness how truly beautiful and inspiring the journey of the four apostles—Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John—with Jesus Christ was.

It was only through divine inspiration that the author was able to combine the four gospels, shortening the four very complex books, into one book. His purpose for writing “A Pocket Full of Parables” is twofold: (1) to make it easier for the novice Christians and non-believers to read God’s word and discover the life story of God’s only begotten son, Jesus Christ, and (2) to bring the entirety of the gospels to the masses, especially to those who find reading the gospels passé.

Dr. Stanley hopes to show readers how closely the four gospels parallel each other by listing every possible point of reference as accurately as he can. “I couldn’t help but notice that each of the four books shared so much in common. After all the four apostles were telling us of their journey with Jesus. Naturally as they too are human beings each had his own way of relating his story to us. No one sees, or hears, or remembers events exactly the same as another. So everyone has a different perspective on life. Yet there are so many similarities in their testimonies that it is truly amazing,” he says.

Through “A Pocket Full of Parables,” the author wishes to reinvigorate the Christian spirit of every reader. He welcomes criticisms to his work as it will help generate more discussion and foster a renewed interest in the things that are of God. Through this book he sincerely hopes that he would be able to bring to more people the complete story of Jesus—from his conception, to his ministry, to his crucifixion, and to his resurrection.
