These are the tales of courage and passion with which every woman can identify

Annabelle Wilson’s new short story collection Women Who Roar (published by Trafford Publishing) presents exciting stories based on the lives of real women living in Alberta who have struggled, fallen, risen again and ultimately succeeded.

“These are the tales of courage and passion with which every woman can identify,” Wilson says. “Anyone who has ever faced obstacles on life’s journey will find truth and resonance in them. Each of the female main characters depicts yet another leadership role in our society. They also portray contributions which they have made to our society.”

Although the stories are fiction, the women and their struggles are very real; the facts of their histories and known and recorded. The incredible women depicted in the stories were pioneers whose work, actions, beliefs or positions had wide-ranging effects. According to Wilson, their actions paved the way for many future generations.

“Women Who Roar will appeal to readers who are interested in feminism,” says Wilson.

Including questions for discussion and exploration of what it means to be a pioneer, Women Who Roar offers stories of amazing women told with humor and insight.
