Author Irene Riot has worn many hats—as a single mother, physician and aspiring writer. In her book, Journey Thru Life With Irene Riot, she offers readers a glimpse into her fascinating world—the world of a Filipina single mother holding down a professional job while pursuing her dream.

Journey Thru Life With Irene Riot is a collection of the author’s writings about the ups and downs of everyday life. In this compilation, readers will find not only a potpourri of poems and parables, but also a smattering of inspiring quotes. Riot has included few sort stories that are based heavily on her Filipino culture. Though born in the US, her family retired to the Philippines when she was around 13 years old. “Kinuha” is a short that showcases some of the mystical experiences she encountered along with “Bangungunot” and “Dinalaw.”

A delightful hodgepodge of literary works, Journey Thru Life With Irene Riot is a scintillating amalgam of fiction, quotes, poetry and reflections that will spice up any humdrum afternoon when one is looking for entertainment.
