Learn About Mobile Developer Tools During Free Day of Talks at Breaking Development Conference in Dallas

Tool Talks are a free day of vendor-sponsored talks exploring mobile web development tools, software and technology.

On Wednesday, September 26th four vendors specializing in mobile development tools, frameworks and code will be presenting free seminars as part of the Breaking Development Conference at the Gaylord Texan in Grapevine, Texas. Seating for this event is limited and pre-registration is required through the BDConf.com website.

Beginning at 8:30AM, Loren Davie of Axilent, based in Brooklyn, New York, will be demonstrating its advanced content management API. Capable of publishing to virtually any platform, Axilent manages multi-channel publishing from content to workflows. A SaaS-based technology, Axilent delivers a “Create Once, Publish Everywhere” solution.

At 9:45AM Dave Shea and John Boxall of Mobify will present its Mobify.js framework and cloud services, which are specifically designed to streamline the mobile development process. Topics covered include client side adaptation, performance and responsive web design and how Mobify’s product line can assist in this development.

The final talk of the morning begins at 11:00AM and offers Ben Combee of HP’s Enyo.js division. Enyo.js is an open source, cross-platform Javascript application development framework that is 100 percent free to use under the Apache 2.0 license. Originally developed by HP for the TouchPad and WebOS, this powerful, stable and efficient framework now works in any modern browser and simplifies mobile and desktop development.

The first session of the afternoon gets underway at 1:30PM and brings Erik Wager of Netbiscuits to the stage. Netbiscuits is a cloud-based mobile development framework that serves clients like Google, MTV, eBay and Mercedes-Benz. The Netbiscuits platform in combination with server-side enhancement combine to create robust mobile applications.
