The Lowry Park Zoo is such a staple in the Tampa community, both for residents and visitors alike. I am so thrilled to be able to use my creativity and art to help support an organization like this in our community.
Tampa, FL (PRWEB) August 28, 2012
The Great Frame Up Tampa frame shop and gallery is proud to announce an Artist’s Reception featuring the work for acclaimed local artist Alan Divers, on October 12, 2012, from 6-10pm at The Great Frame Up in South Tampa. A portion of all proceeds from this show will be donated to the Lowry Park Zoo in Tampa.
The selection of Lowry Park Zoo as the show’s benefactor is appropriate considering the artist and his works. Alan, co-owner of The Great Frame Up frame gallery, has achieved local acclaim for his dynamic, abstract renderings of animal life, both exotic and domestic. From vibrant acrylic-on-canvas paintings of stampeding elephants and towering giraffes, to abstract pencil drawings of roosters, Diver’s passion for the Animal Kingdom is evident in every brush stroke or sketch.
Alan and wife/co-owner of The Great Frame Up Heirdrun Divers are both avid Tampa community supporters and are excited for the opportunity to give back to Tampa in a meaningful and creative way.
“The Lowry Park Zoo is such a staple in the Tampa community, both for residents and visitors alike,” said Alan Divers. “I am so thrilled to be able to use my creativity and art to help support an organization like this in our community.”
The Artist’s Reception on October 6th will feature over 50 of Diver’s original works, all available for purchase. Complimentary cocktails and hors d’oeuvres from Grille 116 will be served. The reception will be at the South Tampa frame gallery location at 3810 Neptune St. B-3 Tampa, Fl 33629.
Alan Divers is a self-taught artist; although he earned his degree in business and finance, he has always had a passion for drawing and art in general. He and wife Heidrun Divers opened their Tampa custom frame shop The Great Frame Up (with locations in South Tampa and St Petersburg) in 2005, serving the Tampa Bay community’s custom framing needs. For the past 5 years, Alan has grown into a prolific and well-know Tampa Bay artist, and was recently commissioned by a client and proud owner of one of his original pieces to paint one of the “herd elephants” for the RNC in Tampa.
