Netflix Subscriber Growth Slows in July According to eDataSource Report

The report shows that Netflix rate of subscriber acquisition grew from May to June, but declined from June to July; at the same time the rate of cancellations declined from May to June, but then increased from June to July, according to eDataSource’s estimates.

The Netflix Insight Report is the second in a series of monthly reports on the performance of major ecommerce players. The fifteen page report provides data on Netflix’s subscriber acquisition performance from May through July 2012 and is derived from eDataSource's unique ecommerce intelligence service which analyzes online purchase confirmations.

The Netflix Insight Report focuses on subscriber acquisition and loss rates as well as trends in plan choices at Netflix. The report shows trending in subscription rates over the past year including data through July, 2012. It also includes eDataSource estimates on the following for May through July 2012:

-Overall growth in subscribers by month (indexed)

The report focuses on U.S. subscribers only and does not include data on international operations.
