The Dallas Association of Young Lawyers organized the Freedom Run as an opportunity to unite and honor the heroes and victims of the tragic events of September 11, 2001. Eleven years later, the run continues to celebrate those who sacrifice their lives every day. DAYL’s mottos is LET FREEDOM RUN.

This fun fund-raising event and festival will begin at 6:30 PM on September 13th at Dallas City Hall Plaza. Runners and walkers can participate in either the Bill Carollo One Mile Walk or the Freedom Run 5K. Participants are encouraged to wear red, white and blue and Let Freedom Run.

The post-race festival includes live entertainment by Independent George and refreshments. S.W.A.T vehicles, police horses, fire trucks and police officers will be on hand distributing identification kits for children.
