New York, NY (PRWEB) August 29, 2012
From September 19th through September 22nd, online and storefront entrepreneurs, university and college service providers, military transition personnel, and human resource representatives are gathering to learn and share best resume-writing practices. Members will be learning expert resume-writing and job-search strategies for helping job seekers through employment transitions and techniques to help job hunters overcome career-development apprehensions. Resume writers and job-search coaches will be networking with other career experts, garnering wisdom, sharing guidance, and cultivating concentrated alliances. In addition, they’ll play while discovering the hidden charms of Charleston.
As The NRWA conference reception kicks off, the beautiful Hat Ladies of Charleston will greet attendees with a variety of hats on loan to showcase personalities and to electrify the evening. Top Hat Archie Burkel will briefly address the group with advice on how to properly wear a hat and present a philosophy of life everyone can hang his/her symbolic hat upon!
During the reception, a charity "bingo" will be held to benefit Mom's Closet—a resource center started with a $100 bill and a challenge for Sheila Day, wife of Pat Day, winner of more than 8,000 races including the Kentucky Derby. The center partners with other resources, businesses, and community agencies to develop the potential of single mothers seeking an education. Sheila and Pat work together to create awareness and to fundraise for the continued success of this endeavor. The NRWA proceeds will go toward opening a "career resource center" that will create a long-lasting impact not only for the single moms before and after graduation but also for the community.
