In “Henry Poole Is Here,” the 2008 film starring Luke Wilson, a man suffering from a terminal illness finds his life interrupted by a stream of people visiting his home to see what they believe to be the image of Jesus in a stain on the side of his house. Stories similar to this happen occasionally, with people finding images of Jesus or other religious figures in various objects, from pancakes to Wal Mart receipts. Sharing a series of similar images with readers, Adelaide Mary Abraham presents her new book, “Divine Intimacy with My Saviour: Dedicated to the Most Precious Blood of Our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ” (published by AuthorHouse).
Abraham delivers a book with what she sees is a message of grave importance. In “Divine Intimacy with My Saviour” readers are presented with a series of images which Abraham uses as evidence suggesting proof of Jesus’ presence in the world. She offers explanations of the pictures along with background of their origins and interpretations of their meanings.
An excerpt from “Divine Intimacy with My Saviour”:
“As you look closely at my picture of Jesus with the Crown of Thorns, you will see a trickle of human blood streaming down Our Lord’s forehead, down His face and onto His chest and shoulder. You will also notice that the hair has been matted with clots of blood. This picture clearly shows the evidence of a man who has been scourged and cruelly beaten—His flesh all torn with some sharp spikes or instrument just as we read about the inhuman treatment that Jesus received. The thorns that were woven as a crown and placed on the Lord’s Head with two ropes are all covered with blood as well.”
Abraham has one simple goal she would like to accomplish through writing and publishing “Divine Intimacy with My Saviour.” As she says, “[I want readers] to realize Heaven and Hell really exist, so they should aim at Heaven while they are here on Earth and have the chance.”
