Crowdfunding Expert, Robert Dobyns, Raises Funds For Neil Armstrong Memorial Via Indiegogo Campaign

The Neil Armstrong Memorial

Great American Hero, Neil Armstrong

One small step for man... One giant leap for mankind.

Occasionally, one finds a man who is a true hero to his entire nation. Rarely does one find a man who has inspired the entire planet. That man was Neil Armstrong. His life and deeds are forever intertwined with history itself, as a memorial to the greatness of the man and to the name that shall endure beyond that of most kings and presidents. A man who served his nation and mankind with enthusiasm and selflessness.

In 1969, Armstrong took that "one small step for man, one giant leap for mankind." as the first man to touch the soil of a place other than earth. In 2012, we mourn his loss, as "The Eagle has landed." We say, 'Long live "The Eagle" in our hearts and memories'.

But really, we want to do more. That is why we are raising funding for the Neil Armstrong Memorial.

We are teaming up with one of America's premier artists working in the medium of bronze statuary to create a nine foot tall, larger than life (because Neil *was* larger than life) bronze monument to this great American icon who has recently fallen.

The statue itself will be hand-detailed & cast. The monument base will be engraved granite. The base will include a "hidden safe" that will have a time capsule enclosed that will be opened on that day when man sets foot on Mars. Armstrong's deepest desire was to be *that* man, volunteering at the age of 80! to undertake such a mission. This time capsule will connect Armstrong to that dream!

We only need $120,000.00 to make this project a reality! Here's the perks for donors:

ALL contributors to this project of $10 or more will have their name micro-engraved on copper sheeting to be enclosed in the time-capsule.

Contributors to this project of $100 or more will receive a limited edition, commemorative coffee mug that has the likeness of the monument on it, as well the perk above!

Contributors to this project of $500 or more will receive a limited edition, commemorative t-shirt that has the likeness of the monument on it, declaring I FUNDED NEIL, as well the perk above!

Contributors of $1000.00 will have their name engraved in the granite base (Limit 80).

Contributors of $5,000.00 or more will have their name engraved in the granite base and can include a personal memento in the time capsule (size restricted to something the size of a pocket watch, personal note, etc.) [LIMIT 10 Donors]

Contributors of $10,000.00 or more will have their name engraved in the granite base and can include a personal memento in the time capsule (size restricted to something the size of a pocket watch, personal note, etc.) and receive a LIMITED EDITION 1/4 SIZE (about 18") DONOR bronze replica of the statue. Only 20 of these collector pieces will ever be produced! [LIMIT 10 Donors]

The funds raised will cover the cost of design & creation of the bronze statue and the granite base, as well as delivery and installation of same, and production of the ancillary items involved. It is our intent to donate the finished work to (preferably, in this order) NASA, The Smithsonian, U.S. Parks & Wildlife or another suitable custodian, willing to undertake the oversight and care of this national treasure.

Stanley J. Watts, renowned craftsman and artisan, will design and produce these works. His passion concerning this project will result in a masterpiece of incredible proportions. Examples of his previous works can be seen below. The resulting work will be produced within 5 - 6 months from successful funding of the Indiegogo

Please help us to make this dream a reality. Donate today. Any overfunding of this project, will go to creation of the Neil Armstrong Avionics Scholarship Fund to encourage youth in their dreams to "be an astronaut when I grow up".
