Whether it's teaching classes at a community event, or hosting events of our own to bring people together, we're here to serve Lake Worth and beyond.

On August 11, Ken Magaro, ChFC, CLU, presented classes in basic finances to parents at the 2012 Community Back-to-School Bash. Ken taught throughout the day, and was able to reach over 200 families with information about sound money management. The presentation, titled “Let’s Talk Money,” covered topics such as bank accounts, savings accounts, and credit cards, and drew on Ken's experience and training as a financial professional.
“Financial literacy is an incredibly important skill,” said Ken. “Getting on the right track with using banking and credit wisely can have far-reaching benefits. I help people every day in my office to manage their risks and improve their finances, and the Community Back-to-School Bash gave me an opportunity to help even more people. Hopefully we can continue to work together to help these folks enjoy true financial independence - for themselves, and more importantly, for their children.”
In addition to incredible learning opportunities, the Community Back-to-School Bash provides new school supplies to thousands of underprivileged children each year. This August, students were also able to receive a free school physical, immunizations, health screenings, gently-used clothing, new school uniforms, and even haircuts to look and feel their best as they return to grow their minds and their future prospects. Thanks to Ken, their parents had the chance to learn how to adapt to a complicated and ever-evolving financial landscape, and steer their families away from pitfalls and hardships on their way to achieving their dreams.
This teaching effort is part of Ken and his team's commitment to always working to improve their community. “Our agency is a part of this community, and we’re dedicated to helping the people in it whenever we can,” said Ken. “Whether it’s teaching classes at a community event, or hosting events of our own to bring people together, we’re here to serve Lake Worth and beyond."
Ken and his team welcome the community to visit his agency to learn more about how insurance and financial services can help their families reach their goals, or even just to stop by to share a kind word and a cup of coffee. "It's a tough world out there," Ken said, "and sometimes a friendly face and a good laugh with our friends and neighbors in the community can help us all continue to smile on our way toward building a better world together."
