GMUSIC celebrated the release of “Feels So Good” with star-studded album release event at Club Robertson on August 28th in West Hollywood, California USA.

On August 28, 2012 singer, composer and trumpeter, Johnny Britt will released his solo debut Feels So Good on GMUSIC. Feels So Good, is a collective of 12 songs combining a variety of musical genres, including R&B, Jazz, Pop, Soul, Reggae and Groove. Johnny Britt wrote, produced, performed and arranged the entire Album.

Also on August 28th, GMUSIC celebrated the release of Johnny Britt’s Feels So Good with a star-studded album release event at Club Robertson in West Hollywood, hosted by 94.7 The Wave Los Angeles’ radio personality Pat Prescott. GMUSIC got a packed house with music industry hitmakers, tastemakers and ‘movers and shakers’ coming out in support of Johnny's solo effort and in celebration of Johnny’s long career in music.

Although best known as a contemporary jazz performer, trumpet player and composer, Johnny Britt made his initial splash on MoJazz/Motown Records as the lead singer of the duo Impromp2. Impromp2 featured funky jazz-infused tracks, the soulful vocals of Johnny Britt, and the hip hop rhymes of rapper Sean Thomas.

"The artistry of Johnny Britt is compared to that of Miles Davis and Marvin Gaye simply because Johnny sings like Marvin and plays trumpet like Miles" says Lindsay Guion, Chairman and CEO, GMUSIC. Johnny is a rare combination of cool and sophistication displaying his art as a singer, songwriter, trumpeter and producer. On Feels So Good, Johnny called on the skills of a few of his legendary friends to add their talent to this recording...Ray Parker Jr., Wah Wah Watson and Ready Freddie Washington. The Album opens with the title track "Feels So Good," with string arrangements a la The Love Unlimited Orchestra, Johnny is at his best. Playing his flugelhorn and adding his Marvin-like vocals to the choruses testifies to what you're about to hear on the rest of this classic Album. There are many stand outs, "Beautiful Queen" - a call to men to respect women like the Beautiful Queens they were meant to be, and the track "I Tried," should garner Johnny a “Best R&B vocal performance” nod for next year's Grammy Awards.

Feels So Good contains that smooth groove sound, bringing you back to the days of Impromp2 but, on this offering, Johnny steps outside of the box as well. The song, "I Know She Loves Me" is influenced by Al Green but in a“Amy Winehouse” vein. When one listens to the classic ballad "Think About It," where Johnny shows off his keyboard skills on a grand piano, one thinks of John Legend. Johnny also took a worldwide approach, including his reggae anthem "I Feel Like Dancin’" and his London Club influenced stomper, "On The Dance Floor." This masterpiece of music is a must-have for real music lovers. Although this is his solo debut album, you already know his work. From his recent #1 hit song "Contact" that he wrote with Boney James, to producing the music for the hit mini series movie classic "The Temptations," to lead singer of the critically acclaimed MoJazz/Motown Records' Impromp2. Born from a lifetime of musical influences from all corners of the world, Johnny has poured his heart and soul into Feels So Good, and this is some of his best work yet.
