Proximus Mobility, a location based consumer engagement software company, announced today the launch of its geofencing solution aimed at driving traffic to destinations and increasing customer loyalty.

A geofence is a virtual perimeter around a geographic area which, when entered by consumers, automatically triggers alerts to mobile devices —such as a coupon, a promotional offer, or information about new services. Proximus Mobility’s geofencing solution is an opt-in service which works on all phones that support text message services, does not require a mobile app and can be customized according to customer preferences and interests.
