New Leaf Market in Tallahassee announces their upcoming Co-op Café Night, a monthly event featuring the market's delicious deli cuisine and live music at the store. This month's Co-op Café Night will be held on September 7th, 2012 at 6:30 p.m. and will showcase The Day Has Come, an indie folk blues band.

New Leaf Market, the largest natural and organic foods cooperative in North Florida, recently announced an upcoming Co-op Café Night, a monthly store event that features live local musicians and deli specials on the first Friday of every month. This free event is on Friday, September 7th from 6:30-9 pm and features a free concert by an indie folk blues band, The Day Has Come, to ring in First Friday Co-op Cafe Night. Guests will receive $1.00 off when they purchase a build your own sandwich and a New Leaf Market cookie.

"We started doing these in September of 2011, along with the Art Showcase Trolley. When the Trolley stopped running, we decided to continue our Co-op Café Nights," said Larrane Hartridge, general manager of New Leaf Market. "Co-op Café Nights are a great way for us to reach out to the community, both by offering local artists a place to play and by giving discounts and free entertainment to our customers."

New Leaf Market encourages any acoustic artists in the area who are interested in playing to contact the Marketing Manager, Cristin Burns at cristin@newleafmarket.coop. Another free New Leaf Market event is a Bean & Cheeze Tacos demo on Monday, September 10th at 7:45 p.m., where Cynthia Cowen, vegan chef, educator and mom, will show store guests how fun and easy it is to make healthful tacos as a dinner back up plan. Visit the New Leaf Market website at http://www.newleafmarket.coop for complete information about all upcoming store events.
