Oilfield Instrumentation (OI) completes several offshore buildings for oil and gas exploration companies operating from Mexico in industry pace-setting time.

Oilfield Instrumentation (OI), which provides real-time drilling instrumentation, harsh environment labs and well-site servicing, announced the completion of several offshore buildings for oil and gas exploration companies operating from Mexico.
The order consisted of four 8’x12’ measurement-while-drilling (MWD) buildings for North Point Drilling Systems LLC, a U.S. oilfield equipment supply company with operations in Mexico.

OI harsh environment labs feature heavy 10-gauge steel construction, seal welded walls and a three-coat, marine grade paint system, plus the option for total customization of interior configuration and design for any certification or rating.
Oilfield Instrumentation completed fulfillment of the North Point order in only six weeks, half the time of the industry standard 12 weeks for customized offshore buildings.

“Increased activity in Mexican offshore drilling is producing great interest in our tried-and-true harsh environment labs,” said Ken Romero, vice president of OI’s Buildings division. “We are witnessing a spike in inquiries from Mexican company representatives who are impressed with the quality and customization of our buildings after encountering them at other installations.”
