New “Top” Articles Grab Attention on

New blog design pleases eyes without disrupting bottom line.

Always known for bringing a fresh and unique voice to online hair, has recently introduced a new series of articles that is already getting tons of attention from regular visitors to the site. Found on the front page, these new articles are called the "Top" series and one of the newest ones to hit the press is the Top 5 Celebrities With Pixies - a look at some big name celebrities who wear the pixie hairstyle. Other recent additions to the "Top" canon are Top 5 Fall Hairstyles and Top 10 2012 Hair Color Trends. Even though the feature is new to the site, the articles make up some of the most-viewed pages on the domain.

What separates the "Top" posts on HSD from the rest of the competition is a combination of several important factors. The first is a clean design layout that is not cluttered with ads like so many other web destinations. While there are some ads present, they are unobtrusive and the primary focus is clearly on quality content, which is duly appreciated by regular visitors. Another contributing factor to the success of the "Top" articles is the quality of the pictures that are used. Like the rest of the HSD site, only top shelf images are used, with the entire hairstyles gallery being made up solely of professional salon pics. For the "Top" articles, this quality approach is in full effect and the majority of images used are high resolution.

HSD is no stranger to attention-grabbing articles and their "Top" stories are joined by a blog that's considered a must-read by most industry professionals. However, it does mark their first foray into the slideshow format. Fortunately, HSD has managed to bring their impressive web design to the forefront and the slideshows are both easy to navigate and work well with any browser. Whereas the site's blog articles are more in-depth, the "Top" stories provide great casual reading and may be just the source of inspiration needed for a person that is looking for a new style. The "Top" series of articles may be new, but if the early popularity gives any clue, they will be around for a long time to come.
