BlueStripe makes it easier for Husqvarna Group to see how all IT Systems work together."

BlueStripe Software today announced that its FactFinder Transaction Monitoring Solution has been implemented across the global IT infrastructure at Husqvarna Group, the world’s largest producer of outdoor power products. Monitoring applications from eCommerce to the factory floor, BlueStripe provides the transaction connection visibility necessary to ensure the performance of Husqvarna Group’s highly diverse IT systems.
Husqvarna Group’s global IT Operations team is responsible for hundreds of distributed systems running in 200 different locations around the world. The company wanted to understand how their critical transactions were utilizing specific systems across these data centers. To accomplish this, FactFinder was deployed as a critical component of their performance management process, from monitoring production transactions to pinpointing performance bottlenecks in both production and QA.
“FactFinder gives Husqvarna Group a clearly improved transaction visibility, allowing everyone involved with applications to see how all the systems work together,” commented Lars-Stefan Holmberg, Global Test Manager at Husqvarna Group. “This visibility is making it easier for specific technology owners to understand how their systems impact transaction performance and get to the heart of any problem quickly.”
FactFinder has greatly reduced the amount of time it takes Husqvarna Group to solve application and transaction performance issues. In one instance, in less than an hour FactFinder solved a recurrent ordering system problem. The resulting increase in service levels and application stability has benefited teams across IT, from Operations to QA and Development.
The FactFinder Transaction Monitoring solution automatically discovers, maps, and monitors all business transactions running across the infrastructure. FactFinder measures performance, hop-by-hop, everywhere that transactions go, across tiers, across platforms, and across architectures – even into virtual machines, private cloud, and third party services. When performance or availability problems occur, FactFinder follows the slow or hung transaction right to the problem component, then drills into the server stack to determine why the problem occurred.
“BlueStripe is proud to be an integral part of Husqvarna Group’s global data centers and distributed application management,” said Chris Neal, BlueStripe CEO. “FactFinder provides the required transaction visibility for maintaining the performance and availability of complex global applications like those at Husqvarna Group and ensuring that performance standards are met.”
