Melinda Katz, Greenberg Traurig Shareholder Named to Real Estate Forum’s 2012 ‘Women of Influence’ List

Greenberg Traurig, LLP, an international law firm, announced that Melinda Katz, a shareholder in the firm’s Government Law group was named one of the 2012 “Women of Influence” by Real Estate Forum, the leading national publication of the commercial real estate industry.

Katz advises clients on development and redevelopment projects with a focus on New York City land use, zoning, real estate and related issues, as well as in procurement, regulatory and state and city legislative matters.

Prior to joining Greenberg Traurig, Katz dedicated more than 15 years to serving the people of New York at both the state and city levels, most recently as a member of the New York City Council, representing the 29th District in Queens. As a Council Member, she chaired the Committee on Land Use, presiding over some of the Council’s most far-reaching duties: zoning, school siting and landmarking.
