Technology provides far better potential for researching and enrolling in programs than we see today. With this launch, we intend to push that envelope.

While researching massage therapy schools and programs online has come a long way, it can still be difficult and time-consuming to compare programs and find the latest information. MassageSchool.org has simplified the entire search process by collecting the relevant information prospective students need to make informed decisions in one, easy-to-navigate site. Now it’s possible to compare the most relevant facts—like programs offered and start dates—with just a few clicks of a mouse. In addition, there are also informative interviews about real therapists’ experiences in the industry and articles about all subjects related to massage therapy.

MassageSchool.org launched its improved directory of massage therapy schools and complementary resources on August 24th, 2012. It is the first massage school directory working to provide comprehensive information to prospective students about tuition, class schedules, start dates, accreditation, financial aid, and other concrete details. The site also makes it easy to start narrowing school options according to setting or environment. For example, it identifies whether a program comes from a massage therapy focused school, a larger alternative medicine institution, vocational school, or college.

The site has also added more resources on its homepage, like relevant massage therapy articles, Q&A posts and interviews of practicing professional therapists. Individual school pages are currently transitioning to include more in-depth, up-to-date information about the school and its programs. In addition, school pages provide a simple form for those interested to submit for additional information. "Our goal is for prospective students to gain a better understanding of their options before they enroll. We believe that identifying the right massage program is a key factor in the long term success of massage therapy practitioners," says Steve Hirsch, founder of MassageSchool.org. "Technology provides far better potential for researching and enrolling in programs than we see today. With this launch, we intend to push that envelope."
The MassageSchool.org platform offers several major enhancements with this initial release. Hirsch states this is only the first of many planned developments designed to simplify and improve the process of researching and enrolling in massage therapy school.
