With a new rail link to Central London, Watford is an ideal place for new companies to start up.
UK (PRWEB UK) 30 August 2012
Watford: Companies House data researched by Duport.co.uk has revealed a record number of new companies being set up in Watford during the second quarter of 2012. There were 327 new companies formed, more than any other second quarter on record for the area. The previous record of 315 was set in 2007.
Further good news for the area came in the form of the recent announcement of a rail link that will connect the Metropolitan tube line to Watford Junction. The new railway will run along Watford Road, the Grand Union canal, and through west Watford, where two new stations will be built.
More positive, and glamorous, news came earlier this month with the announcement that a new Tom Cruise film will be shot in Leavesden Studios. The film, “All You Need is Kill”, will create 500 jobs and boost further investment in the area.
Managing Director of Duport.co.uk, Peter Valaitis said:
“With a new rail link to Central London, Watford is an ideal place for new companies to start up. The record number of company registrations in the last quarter is a positive sign for the rest of the year.”
With Central London in easy distance and Hollywood A-listers coming to stay, it’s hardly surprising Watford is attracting record numbers of business start-ups.
