LawCrossing’s 2013 Most Influential Legal Recruiters List is a tool to assist prospective candidates and employers to identify the most influential legal employment agencies. This list helps both law firms and corporations to identify which legal recruitment agencies are working hard to stay connected with candidates.

To determine legal staffing agency rank, LawCrossing utilized more than 20 influence factors. These items range from the number of years the legal employment agency has operated to a legal recruitment firm’s influence in terms of its effective use of social media, Google page rank, online visitors, and much more.

BCG Attorney Search is ranked as the No. 1 legal recruitment agency in the country. Robert Half Legal slid into second place followed by Special Counsel taking the bronze. Legal Staffing Now placed as the fourth most influential legal employment agency. Last of the top five, Major Lindsey & Africa ranked as No. 5 creating a well-rounded and diverse group of influential legal placement agencies.

Regarding how Robert Half Legal maneuvered the recession, the Executive Director of Robert Half Legal, Charles Volkert provided a statement below:

“We did what we do best: Identify highly skilled legal professionals and market them to employers. In any economy, highly skilled legal professionals are in demand. That’s particularly true within certain practice areas, such as litigation, bankruptcy and foreclosure. Our large network of in-demand legal professionals serves us well in any economy. In uncertain times, companies become more inclined to use temporary professionals to cost-effectively fill their needs. What we’re seeing now is that many companies and law firms that experienced the benefits of using temporary legal staff during the “great recession” haven’t forgotten the value flexible staffing can provide. They continue to use staffing firms to reduce costs and increase efficiency.”
