I help women to tap into their own power and be comfortable with it. They can say bye-bye to the nice girl who gets run over by those who are more aggressive than she is. Their feminine energy is the intuition that guides them.

Marketing and Mindset Coach Simone Mitjans has begun work on her new book, to be released next year, which will include a chapter focusing on a current hot topic: women in business leadership. The recent articles about the CEO of Yahoo! being pregnant, the Atlantic Monthly’s article about women “having it all” and now the Forbes guest post by an undergraduate female at Barnard College, Columbia University have brought much attention to this discussion, which Simone plans to address in a chapter of her new book.
Simone’s clients find themselves in a position to pursue leadership, yet they struggle with overcoming psychological hurdles, such as feeling pressure to be perfect or have it all. According to Simone: “I see this with my very own eyes in my coaching practice every day. There are so many amazing, educated and talented women who have so much to offer, but they don’t believe in themselves. Many of them feel bad about charging for their services and end up giving it away for free. When they try to come across as confident, they can be perceived as (or even called) a bitch.”
This chapter of her book will be about “Being Assertive Doesn’t Mean You Are a Bitch.” Drawing from her decades of coaching women making a six figure salary, Simone tackles the perceptions of power, gender and pressure.
“I help women to tap into their own power and be comfortable with it,” says Simone. “They can say bye-bye to the nice girl who gets run over by those who are more aggressive than she is. Their feminine energy is the intuition that guides them. They should not forget that when they enter into business.”
Simone’s book will also draw from her practical steps on teaching women entrepreneurs how to get more clients. Based on the amount of response these recent topics have received in the media, her book will be addressing hotly debated topics. The Atlantic Monthly article received about 2,500 comments and the Forbes post has more than 9,000 shares on Facebook.
“In the beginning of my coaching career one of my mentors suggested that I work with women who have lack of confidence,” says Simone. “I didn’t think that was my calling, but my business has evolved in a way that I see that way too often.”
