"Our Adaptive Learning Pathways™ to College Readiness can truly help teachers and administrators deliver appropriate testing, learn how to make sense of test results and act upon the results with instruction and support." -Dr. Sydelle Mason
YARDLEY, Pa. (PRWEB) August 30, 2012
Recognized instructional leader Vantage Learning announces three upcoming college readiness webinars tailored for education leaders in California, New Jersey and Florida. The “Adaptive Learning Pathways™ to College Readiness” webinars will be held on September 11, 12 and 13, 2012. Though schools across the nation are gearing up for the new academic year, Vantage Learning is speaking to these states in an effort to help them prepare for some of the big changes coming to their educational systems.
“As part of an effort designed to ensure they are ready to compete in a real-world economy, California students will be taught and tested in a fundamentally different way. Florida is assessing students’ college readiness in order to remediate low performance,” explained Dr. Sydelle Mason, Vice President of Professional Services for Vantage Learning. “Similarly, New Jersey may also begin using end-of-the-year exams to gauge college preparedness.”
During the webinars, professional development leaders from Vantage Learning will discuss how states can bridge the gaps between deficiency and proficiency and make sure their students gain the competitive skills needed to succeed. Other highlights of the webinars will include recent, state-specific educational events; a look at the national scene; information on the components and assessments in Vantage Learning’s Adaptive Learning Pathways™ to College Readiness platform; and next steps for California, New Jersey and Florida.
“We will be discussing our Adaptive Learning Pathways™ to College Readiness during the webinars because it combines a powerful assessment platform and skilled professional development to deliver a solution that meets the needs and expectations of students and teachers with the goal of college preparedness,” said Dr. Mason. “It can truly help teachers and administrators deliver appropriate testing, learn how to make sense of test results and act upon the results with instruction and support.”
