Arts For A Better World will be returning for a 3rd edition during Art Basel Miami Beach 2012 with OVERTURE; a newly redesigned and enhanced international platform for contemporary art. Through key partnerships with corporations, luxury brands, foundations and the arts community at large, Arts For A Better World presents events of philanthropy international through both scope and vision. It is with great interest in the development of art through new geographies, that OVERTURE MIAMI Art Fair is dedicated to presenting major art trends from around the world.
This high-profile 20,000 square foot venue will be located in Midtown's Art Fair hub with an anticipated foot-traffic of roughly 45,000 visitors, promising this edition to be the largest and most attended to date.
Special Exhibition 2012: A Tribute to Andy Warhol
In association with cultural partner Taglialatella Galleries, the Miami OVERTURE Art Fair will be presenting an unprecedented exhibition in the history of art fairs – an impressive selection of 100 pieces by Andy Warhol: “100 Warhols, an Overview: Painting, Drawing, Collage, Unique Work on Paper, Trial Proofs and Edition Prints”. This exhibition will celebrate the artist's accomplishments and contributions as a leading figure of the American Pop Art Movement. It will include works through a variety of mediums from the artist’s early years to his final paintings including iconic works and many works never before shown to the public. This unique exhibition will benefit all exhibitors, attracting high-profile visitors, collectors and media.

This year, OVERTURE by Arts For A Better World, directed Angeliki Georgiou, will be divided into three of the following sections:
This section promises to exhibit galleries with over 3 years’ experience in showing 21st century artwork.
Dedicated solo exhibition booths for young or established galleries that would like to introduce an emerging artist or a new body of work.
Focus: Post War Art-
Providing context to the Warhol exhibition and to enhance the collector’s experience, this secondary market section will be welcoming applications with post war art pieces. Curated thematic booth proposals and additional pop art artists are highly encouraged.
OVERTURE will be open to VIPs and Press on Tuesday, December 4 with a Vernissage and will continue through December 9, 2012.
On December 6, 2012, the annual private collector’s dinner (Guest List only) will pay tribute to Andy Warhol.
To complement these featured galleries, OVERTURE will present an extensive VIP Program with special events, including private collector receptions, and tours.
