Salt Lake City, UT (PRWEB) August 30, 2012
OnRamp Transportation Services, the transportation equipment leasing, sales and contractor services company, was recognized on Wednesday as the second fastest growing company in the State of Utah, according to magazine publisher Utah Business. Utah Business Magazine sponsors the Utah Fast 50, a tabulation and celebration of those companies in Utah who are growing the fastest according compound annual revenue growth. OnRamp was recognized at a gala lunch hosted at the Grand America Hotel in downtown Salt Lake City.
"We are so excited to have been honored as the second fastest growing company in the State of Utah," said Spencer Angerbauer, President of OnRamp Transportation Services. "There was a lot of suspense during the event since no company knows its ranking until the Fast 50 is announced in descending order, so there was a lot of consternation leading up to the Top 10. But we were absolutely thrilled to named the second fastest growing company."
OnRamp's growth was due in large measure to OnRamp's business model, said Angerbauer, and to the strength of its people. "We knew several years ago that combining hard-to-find transportation equipment like pre-owned tractor-trailers at the right price with technology-driven business services such as mobile bookkeeping, taxes and consulting, would satisfy a huge market demand from contractors and owner-operators within the trucking industry," said Angerbauer. "But when you combine a great idea and go-to-market plan with superb people, it's hard not to fall backwards into success."
Other Utah companies recognized for fast growth included technology companies, business services firms, and consumer electronics companies such as the Utah Fast 50 winner ZAGG, a global marketer of mobile electronic accessories.
Tyler Dabo, the publisher of Utah Business Magazine, told the nearly 1,000 attendees that it is important to recognize the success and leadership these companies bring to Utah. The 58 companies recognized, which included both the Fast 50 and an "Emerging 8" category of fast-growing companies that had not been in business for 5 years or more, had combined total revenue of more than $7.3 billion, and are the companies that continue to hire.
