S-2016, which unanimously passed a committee hearing in the New Jersey State Senate, would outlaw any development along the Palisades Cliffs from Jersey City to Fort Lee and beyond and place local land use decisions in the hands of the Palisades Interstate Parks Commission. It is sponsored by New Jersey State Senator Brian P. Stack (D-Union City).
