Paul Johnson has been with HCG Diet Kits for over a decade now. Always pro-active in ensuring his clients get the best service possible, he decided to do an analysis of how his clientele were doing Phase 1 of the HCG Diet. What he found greatly astonished him.

Paul said, "I discovered quite a few of the dieters thought Phase 1 was all about gorging on junk food. The purpose of the HCG Diet isn't just to lose weight. It's to get a person back to a healthier way of living."

For those who aren't familiar with the HCG Diet, Phase 1 consists of the first two days of the diet. While taking HCG, the dieters is instructed to "gorge" on fatty foods. This makes it much easier to transition to Phase 2, which contains almost no fat, so the dieter doesn't feel hungry.

Paul clarified that he likes to have a tasty treat once in a while, and wouldn't begrudge a little splurging to anyone. But he stressed that Phase 1 is not about eating only ice cream, cakes and donuts for 2 days. Phase 1 is setting the stage for success on the rest of the HCG Diet, so it's important to eat healthy fats during those gorge days. Paul offers a simple healthy approach. "If you like, you may eat your regular food - breakfast, lunch, dinner - regular portions, and add the fat of an avocado." The avocado, one of Mother Nature's superfoods, contains healthy fats to sustain a person for the beginning of Phase 2.

Some other healthy fats include: nuts, seeds, olive oil, salmon, tuna and tofu. Bad fats are things that contain saturated or trans fats, like fried foods, margarine, fatty beef, chicken skin, ice cream, cheese, and store-bought pastries. Introducing good fats in Phase 1, as well as part of regular eating habits will help stabilize weight loss after the HCG Diet.

Paul loves to help people lose weight and would be glad to help anyone out there who has questions about the HCG Diet. Please feel free to contact him.
