Chiu-Ti Jansen Hosts Featured Presentations on Spring/Summer 2013 Collections New York Fashion Week for China’s Preeminent Media Platform SINA FASHION

CHINA HAPPENINGS (TM), a multimedia platform founded by Chiu-Ti Jansen to focus on the lifestyle and cultural industries of contemporary China, announces a partnership with China’s premier media platform SINA FASHION to present to the Chinese viewers the upcoming Spring/Summer 2013 Collections New York Fashion Week in a dynamic mix of video presentations, Weibo (Chinese twitter) write-ups and live Web-based interviews.

Produced by Chiu-Ti Jansen, founder of the CHINA HAPPENINGS™ brand, CHIU-TI’S NEW YORK FASHION WEEK DIARY will be a series of presentations that bring an informed vantage point on the New York fashion scene, seen from a New York who is intimately familiar with the visual languages that speak to both Chinese audience and New York fashion world. SINA FASHION will promote the branded video presentations, crisp Weibo-style write-ups and live Weibo interviews conducted by Ms. Jansen through its powerful online and Weibo platforms. The series will kick off with a special feature on Oscar de la Renta, winner of this year’s Couture Council Artistry of Fashion Award, at an award ceremony hosted by the Museum of the Fashion Institute of Technology on September 5, 2012 at the Lincoln Center’s David Koch Theater. As a Board member of the Couture Council and a Vice Chair of the Award Luncheon, Ms. Jansen will also interview the VIPs among the 700 guests attending one of the most celebrated fashion-related events in New York City. The other New York-based designers who will be featured in the SINA FASHION series include Jason Wu, Phillip Lim and Diane von Furstenberg.

This summer Ms. Jansen appeared in China’s top-rated fashion/beauty show I Am a Great Beauty as a New York fashion expert, introducing to the show’s audience the unique characteristics that distinguish the “New York Style.” Produced by Hunan TV, one of the most influential media networks in China, I Am a Great Beauty entertains on average 15 million TV viewers per episode, with additional viewers following its Web posting, and boasts one of the most influential TV hosts He Jiong (with more than 20 million Weibo followers, ranked No. 5 in the entire China).
