Tulsa, OK (PRWEB) August 31, 2012

Last weekend employees at Conexus, a premiere third-party supply chain logistics company serving the United States, Canada and Mexico, gave their time and money to support the Alzheimer’s Association at the annual Walk to End Alzheimer’s event in Tulsa. The walk was held on the campus at Oral Roberts University and several Conexus employees and their families came out to support the organization. The walk was eventually cancelled due to inclement weather but Conexus employees still managed to contribute vital funds to help the organization continue the necessary research to find a cure for this devastating disease.
According to the Alzheimer’s Association, “Alzheimer’s Disease is the sixth-leading cause of death in the United States and the only cause of death among the top 10 in the United States that cannot be prevented, cured or even slowed.” It is statistics like these that inspired Conexus to get involved.
“Alzheimer’s disease affects us all in some way,” said Kyle Gholston, Vice President of Conexus. “Many of us at Conexus have a loved one who has fallen victim to this disease and we are all at risk of suffering from it ourselves at some point. We wanted to come together as a company to support an organization that is actively working to find a cure.”
