Dallas, TX (PRWEB) August 31, 2012
Sher Fertility Institute announced today that it will be hosting two free fertility seminars, where free In Vitro Fertilization (IVF) treatments will be donated to two couples – one at each seminar. The infertility seminars will be held at Medical City Hospital on Saturday, September 22, 2012 at 10:00 AM and 1:30 PM
Speaking at the Dallas seminar will be renowned fertility doctors Walid Saleh, MD, Director of Sher’s Dallas Fertility Center, and Geoffrey Sher, MD, founder of Sher Fertility Institute. Topics will include treatment options, unexplained infertility, male infertility, IVF financing options, In Vitro Fertilization, intrauterine insemination, and immunologic fertility treatment. The doctors will follow their presentations with a question/answer session involving the audience.
As with all Sher Institute fertility seminars, the culmination of each event will be the donation of an IVF treatment package to a randomly drawn couple in attendance at the seminar. These donated IVF treatments are a component of Sher’s "Giving Back" Program, which incorporates the following initiatives and others:
- Donation of 25 IVF treatments packages to patients since 2010. Each treatment package is valued at over $10,000.
- Free egg freezing for cancer patients through the Fertility Rescue program.
- Discounted fertility treatment for teachers, “First Responders,” limited income couples, and members of the military.
- Online video and essay contests in which potential applicants submit videos and stories chronicling their journey in hopes of winning free IVF.
These will be the 11th and 12th free IVF treatments donated in Dallas in the last two years. Many winning couples have gone on to successful treatment. Most recently, a 2011 IVF winner gave birth to a baby boy.
“We know that there are many couples in Dallas struggling with infertility,” said Dr. Saleh. “Our hope is that we can provide some insights as well as some hope to each couple at the seminar – even those that have been through infertility treatment in the past.”
Dr. Sher added, “We find that there are almost as many opinions about fertility treatment as there are fertility doctors. These seminars provide a chance for couples to get a second or third opinion on their situations – to hopefully learn something new or unique that may be the key to successful conception for them.”
