The Cortland County Business Development Corporation, located in central upstate New York, launched a new economic development website to market the county to companies looking to relocate or expand.
Garry VanGorder, the executive director of the CCBDC, said that developing a best-in-class economic development website is a challenging project but is essential to remain competitive against other regions.
“It is so important these days to have a powerful and efficient web presence; one that makes learning about a community easy for site selectors,” VanGorder said. “Ady Voltedge’s experience with this kind of web design sold us, and we have not been disappointed.”
Ady Voltedge’s experience in economic development marketing is the result of working with dozens of economic development organizations on a variety of projects from research to websites to marketing collateral.
Janet Ady, president of Ady Voltedge, has been working alongside economic development organizations for more than 10 years and said having experience in economic development is critical to the company’s projects.
“Previous clients have said the last thing they want to do is educate their marketing consultant on economic development,” Ady said. “That isn’t necessary when working with Ady Voltedge so we can spend more time getting to know the client’s region and turning those assets into effective marketing communications.”
