Body Works Martial Arts Center, a premier karate school in Concord, New Hampshire, recently announced that they offer Combined Kenpo Karate. Kenpo is a form of martial arts that has both Chinese and Japanese influences.
Combined Kenpo blends the techniques and forms of traditional Shaolin Kenpo, while applying the principles, mechanics, and techniques of Parker Kenpo. It also includes themes from Aikido and Ju Jit Su.
Combined Kenpo consists of striking, as well as grappling techniques. Many students enroll in Body Work's Combined Kenpo classes to learn self-defense techniques and increase their fitness levels. Body Works Kenpo classes also increase self-confidence and self-esteem.
"Starting Kenpo with Body Works Martial Arts Center, I have become more fit, more positive and more successful," said a Body Works student.
Jeff Hardy, the creator of Combined Kenpo Karate, has owned and operated Body Works Martial Arts Center since 1980. Body Works has an experienced staff of over 20 instructors, including seven Master Instructors.
"I have been training in the martial arts for over 35 years and am currently celebrating the 32nd anniversary of Bodyworks," said owner, Jeff Hardy. "During those years, I have seen many changes in the martial arts field and believe that it is necessary for businesses to evolve in order to stay current with the times, and karate is no exception!"
Body Works provides an extensive daily schedule, which gives families flexibility in choosing class times that are compatible with other activities.
