“We have used the laser to die cut from the first day it was installed and continue to be impressed with this new capability and what it affords our customers.” - Steve Harris, President Label-Aid Systems, Inc.

Label-Aid Systems, Inc.’s new laser die cutting system can have your short run graphic overlays and prototypes ready to ship within three days of an approved proof.

“The laser die cutter allows us to immediately die cut a job without waiting four to six days for a steel rule die to be manufactured and shipped,” said Steve Harris, president of Label-Aid Systems. “Many of our competitors have not turned to this new technology and therefore cannot offer their customers the speed and precision we do.”

Laser die cutting is fast, precise, and provides a cleaner cut than steel rule dies without the expense and time of waiting for a custom made die to be created. Label-Aid’s laser die processing system cuts, scores, etches, and kiss-cuts with ease and speed.

Laser die cutting also enables Label-Aid to cut, “extreme non-traditional shapes that are not even possible with a steel rule die,” Harris said.

“Custom complex shapes with sharp edges, square corners, or cuts very close together present problems for a steel rule die, but not for laser cutting,” Harris said. “Graphic overlays which would normally crimp because cut outs are so close together will lay perfectly flat.”

Label-Aid’s graphic overlays are used for a variety of applications including as brand identification on OEM electronic boxes, equipment and machinery. Graphic overlays add eye-catching details and information.

“We have used the laser to die cut from the first day it was installed and continue to be impressed with this new capability and what it affords our customers,” Harris said.

Label-Aid Systems, founded in 1976, is an ISO 9001:2008 certified custom label company. Label-Aid manufactures custom labels, custom decals and control panel overlays for industries including the electronics, telecommunications and automotive industries.
