As the summer comes to a close, condensation and excess moisture can become a nuisance for many caravan owners, prompting the search for an efficient product to combat the damp. This is where the revolutionary Superdry desiccant pack available from Air & Water Centre (AWC) comes in.
Superdry was originally created to protect goods from moisture as they were shipped in huge 40ft cargo containers. Now, for the first time, the Superdry technological expertise has been used to create an effective dehumidifying product available for domestic use in caravans, boats, cars, garages and indeed anywhere around the home.
Made from a high-tech and safe food-based material, Superdry will absorb 200% of its own weight in moisture: an impressive feat considering other silica-based products can only absorb around 15-20% of their own weight. This makes Superdry the most efficient desiccant moisture absorber on the market today.
Not only is Superdry efficient and safe, it also guarantees no leaks thanks to its calcium chloride composition. As moisture soaks in through the spun-bound Tyvek material outer casing (which prevents moisture travelling back out), the calcium chloride inside Superdry turns to gel, ensuring no nasty leaks.
Duncan Buxton, marketing manager at AWC, said: “The Superdry pack is a must have item for any caravan owner who wants to leave clothes, paper, textiles or any soft furnishings inside their caravan over the winter. It is unpowered so doesn’t need an electrical supply and can be conveniently positioned around the caravan to spread the dehumidifying effect to where it’s needed. Don’t let the mould take hold!”
The Superdry pack contains six individually wrapped products: 1x1kg Superdry and 5x100g Superdry bags. All you need to do is place the large pack in the main cabin of your caravan, and place the smaller packs in cupboards, drawers or other small areas around your holiday home.
In total, the Superdry pack will absorb 2.25 litres of moisture. Each item will last up to six weeks before it needs replacing. When a pack weighs 1.5 times its original weight, or looks visibly bloated, all you need to do is throw it away and replace with another pack.
