“Our patented sketch technology with it's ability to rapidly collect, correct, and send structural data accurately and easily while still on site is a game changer."
Mantua, NJ (PRWEB) September 05, 2012
BRT Technologies has announced it has been awarded US Patent 8,187,003 which covers electronic mobile devices ( IE tablets, laptops, handhelds, etc) capable of capturing, converting, and transmitting relevant structural data on site via use of a “sketch” program.
“It's been a long road but we are very pleased to be awarded this extensive patent”, said Brian Schneider, Operations Manager at BRT Technologies. “With the entire industry moving towards and adopting electronic mobile data collection, we believe this is a very significant and important patent”.
BRT's patented technology gives data collectors and tax assessors the ability and freedom to naturally draw and sketch relevant data points and measurements of structures in the field using a mobile device, typically a laptop or tablet computer .
While on site, the technology will also alert users of any errors they may have inputted. Once users are satisfied that their data is correct they are then free to quickly save, and send the data to a taxing authority or CAMA (Computer Assisted Mass Appraisal) system.
“Getting good, clean, reliable data is the backbone of any database. You're only as good as your data, and when it comes to property tax information, the ability to capture structural data is key”, remarked Brian Schneider. “Our patented sketch technology with it's ability to rapidly collect, correct, and send structural data accurately and easily while still on site is a game changer. We at BRT look forward to offering our patented technology to municipalities and CAMA systems nationwide”.
