AOK Medical Center Announces Opening of AOK Spine and Pain

AOK Spine and Pain officially opened in August 2012 as the newest addition to the AOK Medical Center, enabling the medical center to now offer services such as pain management, spine surgery, endoscopic carpal tunnel treatment, and more.

Since going to AOK Spine and Pain, my chronic pain has diminished substantially.

AOK Spine and Pain officially opened in August 2012, and is already considered one of the top spinal surgery centers and pain management centers in Houston, TX. AOK Spine and Pain is the newest facility to be added to the AOK Medical Center which also includes Athletic Orthopedic and Knee Center, AOK Emergency Room, and the AOK Research Foundation.

With the opening of the AOK Spine and Pain, the AOK Medical Center will now be able to offer several new services to the people of Houston including pain management, spine surgery, endoscopic carpal tunnel treatment, Tarsal Tunnel treatment, and Baxter’s Nerve entrapment. A number of other conditions pertaining to the spine, nerves, and pain will also be treated. An important reason why they are able to offer all of their patients state-of-the-art treatment is because of their comprehensive, multi-disciplinary team of specialists that include renowned orthopedic and spine surgeons, physical therapists, an ambulatory surgical center, an MRI imaging center, and a 24 hour emergency room.

AOK Spine and Pain’s multidisciplinary team of spine and pain specialists include some of the most renowned expert physicians in their specific fields of medicine:

Dr. Donald E. Baxter specializes in foot and ankle surgery and is a native of Atlanta, Georgia. Dr. Donald Baxter graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree from Mercer University in Macon, Georgia. Dr. Baxter has earned numerous awards and written multiple publications to his credit including two books and 27 peer review articles.

Dr. Eghtedar Sadeghpour is a board certified orthopedic surgeon who boasts additional qualifications in surgery of the hand. Dr. Sadeghpour completed his orthopedic residency and hand surgery fellowship at National Hospital for Orthopaedic Surgery in Arlington, Virginia. Dr. Sadeghpour is a fellow in the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons.

Dr. Maxwell S. Adu-Lartey is a fellowship trained orthopedic spine surgeon who grew up in Ghana as well as Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. He graduated from Southwestern Oklahoma State University with degrees in biological sciences, chemistry and minor in physical sciences, and earned his medical degree from Oklahoma State University College of Medicine.

Dr. Pawan Grover has been practicing pain management and anesthesiology for 10+ years treating back, neck, and hip pain in a multitude of national and international settings. He has a private practice in Houston, Texas and privileges at a number of Houston’s leading
