Manuel Antonio Vacation Rentals, a luxury Costa Rica vacation rentals company with homes near Manuel Antonio National Park in Manuel Antonio, Costa Rica is proud to announce that they have implemented new Green company procedures to help their staff, rentals, and renter guests show appreciation to the surrounding ecological area of Manuel Antonio and the endangered Titi (squirrel) monkey.
The beauty and appeal of the area has drawn many visitors and because of this, Manuel Antonio National Park and the Titi have experienced environmental damage. Steps have been necessary to halt the environmental degradation of the area.
With the environment in mind, Manuel Antonio Vacation Rentals has designed and implemented a new system to help the guests and their rentals show appreciation, understanding, and care of the surrounding areas. Company-wide standards and workshops have been devised to keep both staff and guest aware of and supportive to their environment. Cleaning and maintenance staff are attending required company workshops where they are learning to use environmentally friendly methods and products to clean and take care of the property with. Water conservation policies are being put into place and recycle bin systems have been devised. Guests are encouraged to donate to the Titi Conservation Alliance Fund, and are trained upon arrival by the concierge, how to interact with the endangered Titi monkey during their visit at the Manuel Antonio Vacation Rentals’ homes.

Although Manuel Antonio Vacation Rentals has been a part of the Titi Monkey Conservation Alliance – a group started in 2001 with the mission of saving the endangered Titi monkey by promoting sustainable development and conserving the biodiversity of Costa Rica’s Central Pacific Region, Manuel Antonio Vacation Rentals is proud to announce and implement even more assertive measures extending all throughout their business. “Since we know one of the big draws to visiting Costa Rica is its awareness of and efforts towards eco- friendliness, we want to make sure that we are doing our part!“, says Manuel Antonio Vacation Rentals co-partner Heather Blanchard.
Manuel Antonio National Park, located in the Central Pacific Conservation Area just south of Quepos, Puntarenas, is the smallest National Park in Costa Rica. Although it is known for its beauty, and was listed by Forbes among the world’s 12 most beautiful national parks in 2011, it is most known for its biological diversity. It includes a complex biological system of 109 species of mammals and 184 species of birds. The smallest primate inhabiting the park is the endangered Titi monkey. Titis, a peaceful monogamous primate, thought to be adorable by many, often visit the porches of MAV's Costa Rica Beach Rentals.
