Wembley: Wembley has broken its own record for number of new companies formed in the second quarter of the year. There have been 420 new company registrations during the second quarter of 2012, more than any other second quarter on record for the area. The previous record of 413 was set in the second quarter of 2011.
Wembley is synonymous with its football stadium, but the wider area is also undergoing a period of regeneration. Several projects have already been completed, including improvements to the three railway stations that serve the area and the development of two new high quality residential areas. 2013 will see completion of the new Brent Civic Centre, as well as the opening of a new cinema and designer outlet.
Managing Director of Duport.co.uk, Peter Valaitis said:
“There is much more to Wembley than football. The surrounding area has already undergone a great deal of development, which will continue into the future. The area is fantastic for new businesses, with high footfall, a large population and great links to Central London – it’s hardly surprising we have seen a record number of start-ups choosing to locate here.”
With so much development, plus the exposure gained during the Olympics and the recent surge in new company formations, the future of Wembley looks to be very bright indeed.
